Considered one of the ancient goddess, and in some tales, the only Titan allowed to retain her authority after the Olympians seized control, Hecate is a triple faced goddess associated with witchcraft, the Underworld and its subsequent entities such as the dead and ghosts as well as being known for her maternal instincts and her ability to accept the strange nature of people.
Known also as a Moon goddess, Hecate was said to be Persephone's consort during her seasonal time in the Underworld. Her ease in the Underworld has also made her the goddess of liminal spaces such as crossroads and different spiritual planes. As a guardian she is often called upon for protection, especially over women.
The ring is roughly 14mm by 18mm. It stands approximately 7mm off of the finger.
Cast in entirely in sterling silver from bat and mouse bones, it is then given a dark gloomy gray patina that is then highlighted to reveal the silver highlights beneath.
Our stones cast in solid sterling silver are each created by hand. Like moonstone, labradorite, and onyx, slight imperfections are to be expected and are part of what make each stone unique. The photographs accurately portray the quality of the stones and the cuts.
