Triple Goddess Ring with Moonstone

$200.00

Considered one of the ancient goddesses, (and in some tales), the only Titan allowed to retain her authority after the Olympians seized control, Hecate is a triple faced goddess associated with witchcraft, the Underworld, specters and the dead. She is also well known as the Goddess of crossroads, symbolically viewed as the liminal space between worlds. Because of these attributes, she has an ability to accept the strange and shadowy nature of people, making her a personal favorite of mine.

Here, Hecate is represented in one of her best known symbols as the "Triple faced Goddess', embodied by two crescent moons and one 'full' labradorite moon. The band is a marriage of two bat leg bones.

Cast in sterlings silver, the ring sits 11mm off of the finger and is 22mm wide, with a 9mm faceted round moonstone.

Moonstone is closely tied to the moon, with some cultures believing the stone is solidified moon rays, while others think of them as embodiments of the moon's tears. Acting as a kind of Psychic armor, it is thought to protect its wearer from not only dark nights, but dark times; it helps sooth grief, loss, and other emotional turbulence. It is also a great tool for meditation and clairvoyance, & has been used in jewelry since ancient times for both its unique beauty and magic.

As a romantic stone: moonstone is thought to keep the passion alive between lovers when one gives it to another, especially during a full moon.

Please note that moonstone is a natural stone, clarity and color will vary from stone to stone. Moonstone often has a milky appearance as well as natural inclusions within the stone. The flash will contain shades of blue, violet or teal, and occasionally a dark gold
