The snake as a symbol carries a vast amount of potent power throughout many cultures. Its ritual shedding signifies both death and renewal, while its close proximity to the ground links it to the underworld, to oracular mysteries and supernatural sensitivities. Its abilities to both kill and cure mark it is a guide between the living and the dead, of transformation and the eternal return.
Darkly dangerous, the snake can symbolically and physically spring forth from darkness as it is also linked to the primordial, or the beginning of time. This ancient creature is therefore teeming with great wisdom and as the 'Ouroboros' is both creator and destroyer.
A pair of rattlesnake fangs are cast immortal and dangle at the jawline. As the seat of the rattlesnake's physical defense, these earrings invoke the powerful, albeit dangerous aspects of the snake, a physical symbol of self-reliant power and small talismans of protection.
