These ritual beads are an homage to the Goddess Hecate: Considered one of the ancient goddesses, (and in some tales), the only Titan allowed to retain her authority after the Olympians seized control, Hecate is a triple faced goddess associated with witchcraft, the Underworld, specters and the dead. She is also well known as the Goddess of crossroads, symbolically viewed as the liminal space between worlds. Because of these attributes, she has an ability to accept the strange and shadowy nature of people, making her a personal favorite of mine.  

*Details* :

- This strand is comprised of gray moonstone 'moons', separated by sterling silver beads. These beads some range from french gray to a warm taupe, blending cool and warm tones together in an interesting palette of moody grays. These beads also stunningly 'glitter' and 'shimmer' in the light.

- At this strands closure is our largest, double sided, sterling silver Eye of Protection clasp, meant to be a talisman of comfort and protection.  

- Approximately 29 inches in length including clasp.

-  Large Eye Clasp, silver beads, and jump rings are all Solid Sterling Silver, hand oxidized to achieve our favorite gloomy grey and finished to highlight the shining silver beneath.

- The clasp is tactile in nature making it easily held between the tips of your fingers and rubbed for comfort in times of grief, anxiety, dissociation, as well as during moments of joy and wonder.   

Gray Moonstone:

Gray moonstone shares many of the same metaphysical properties as the rest of the moonstone family. It is closely tied to the moon, with some cultures believing the stone is solidified moon rays, while others think of them as embodiments of the moon's tears. Acting as a kind of Psychic armor, it is thought to protect its wearer from not only dark nights, but dark times; it helps sooth grief, loss, and other emotional turbulence. 

Moonstone is also known for its powerful psychic abilities.
