These ritual beads are an homage to the Goddess Hecate: Considered one of the ancient goddesses, (and in some tales), the only Titan allowed to retain her authority after the Olympians seized control, Hecate is a triple faced goddess associated with witchcraft, the Underworld, specters and the dead. She is also well known as the Goddess of crossroads, symbolically viewed as the liminal space between worlds. Because of these attributes, she has an ability to accept the strange and shadowy nature of people, making her a personal favorite of mine.  

*Details* :

- This strand is comprised of Onyx 'moons', separated by both onyx and sterling silver beads. 

- At this strand's closure is our largest, double sided, sterling silver Eye of Protection clasp, meant to be a talisman of comfort and protection. 

- Approximately 39 inches in length including clasp

-  Large Eye Clasp, silver beads, and jump rings are all Solid Sterling Silver, hand oxidized to achieve our favorite gloomy grey and finished to highlight the shining silver beneath.  

- The clasp is tactile in nature making it easily held between the tips of your fingers and rubbed for comfort in times of grief, anxiety, dissociation, as well as during moments of joy and wonder.  

Onyx: 

Onyx is best known for being a natural stone that act as a kind of 'psychic armor' against the negativity of others. It is also used to sooth grief and heartbreak. It is a wonderful grounding stone and a stone of self mastery, enabling its wearers to have mental and spiritual focus.
