The snake as a symbol carries a vast amount of potent power throughout many cultures. Its shedding process signifies a ritual, imbued with both death and renewal, while its close proximity to the ground links it to the underworld, to oracular mysteries and supernatural sensitivities. Its abilities to both kill and cure mark it is a guide between the living and the dead, of transformation and the eternal return.

Quick and dangerous, the snake can symbolically and physically spring forth from darkness as it is also linked to the primordial, the beginning of time. This ancient creature is therefore teeming with great wisdom and as the 'Ouroboros' is both creator and destroyer, locked in the embrace of the eternal return. 

A pair of rattlesnake fangs are cast immortal and dangle at the jawline. As the seat of the rattlesnake's physical defense, these earrings invoke the powerful, albeit dangerous aspects of the snake, a physical symbol of self-reliant power and small talismans of protection. 

In this special variant version of the original offering, a tiny tear shaped onyx gemstone is added to each earring.

Onyx:

Onyx is best known for being a natural stone that acts as a kind of 'psychic armor' against the negativity of others. It is also used to sooth grief and heartbreak. It is a wonderful grounding stone and a stone of self mastery, enabling its wearers to have mental and spiritual focus.

These jewels are hand cut and therefore may have very slight differences in size and may have small signs of the carver's hands along the edges. These are not fabricated by a machine, they are made by hand and therefore aren't uniformly perfect. The photographs accurately portray the quality of the stones and the cuts.
