Inspired by the design elements of the Baroque and Neo-classical periods, this striking yet delicate necklace is named for the Ancient Greek God of the West wind, Zephyrus, features conjoined ornate 'wind gusts' cradling a stunning pear cut tourmalated quartz. These calmer winds are also named for those that occur as a storm ends, and this petite line of jewels represent the transitions of life's ups and downs, just as raging storms ease to lighter rain and the parting of clouds that give way for sunshine to break through. It's difficult to know what treasures may be blown down towards us on gentle breezes, especially these days, but it's my hope that this jewel may be a talisman of hope for calmer weather in both our external and internal landscapes.

Black Tourmaline Quartz: Black Tourmaline Quartz is a variety of clear quartz with naturally occurring needle-like inclusions of black tourmaline. Quartz is a considered the 'Master Healer, and is known for its propensity to improve memory and bring clarity to the consciousness. In this way, it is also a helpful tool in meditation. Black Tourmaline Quartz is well known for its protection qualities, acting as psychic armor against negativity and psychic attacks. 

This jewel is hand cut and therefore may have small signs of the carver's hands along the edges. It has not been fabricated by a machine rather it hand cut and therefore might not be uniformly perfect. The photographs accurately portray the quality of the stone and the cut.
