A pair of life cast fox claws dangle from our signature bar link chain. These were life cast from the same red fox as our classic fox claw necklace which was molded near the very beginning of BloodMilk and are offered for the first time in this collection.

Foxes carry with them the folklore of transformation and shapeshifting with Japanese culture via the Kitsune, while in ancient Celtic folklore, the red fox was seen as a guide between worlds and to the afterlife. In many cultures, the fox is associated with intelligence and cunningness, as they have a highly sensitive capacity to hear and smell as well as night vision.

Laurel Hill cemetery here in Philadelphia is known for its foxes and it's always been amazing to get to see the kits on occasion wander among or sometimes beneath the graves. I liken the times I've gotten to witness this to this pair of earrings, the ability of foxes to move between worlds, their ability to assist in carrying grief in the form of these earrings.

- Approximately 72 mm from top of earring hook to tip of fox claw 

- Fox claw is approximately 22 mm from top to bottom ( including jump ring ) and 10 mm wide 

- Fox claws, chain, jump rings, and earring hooks are all solid Sterling Silver, hand oxidized to achieve our favorite shade of stormy gray and then highlighted to reveal the bright luminous silver beneath
