Mugwort leaves, cast immortal in sterling silver, carefully encircle a pear cut amethyst gemstone, resembling a tear. Historically, Mugwort was used as a dreaming herb, harvested, dried and sewed into little sachets which were then put under the pillow before sleep to "bring forth dreams". These dreams, due to the herb's potency, could be vivid, lucid and prophetic. These attributes have survived throughout the ages and people today still use Mugwort to assist with enhancing dreaming and visions whilst in this state.

While most modern folks are divorced of believing in the importance of dreams, our historical ancestors were more connected to them. Dreams could reveal their true love or help with visions of the future of the harvest or child bearing. Therefore, customary folk practices around dreaming were cultural and normalized, before the introduction of witchcraft trials. The same herbs used for some of these traditions, such as Mugwort, were also used to repel witches and evil spirits / evil eye.

Keep close to you while sleeping or wear when in trance / waking visionary states, for protection ( especially while traveling ) or simply for its beauty.

Amethyst:

People have been drawn to wearing and using Amethyst in magical and sentimental practices since as far back as Ancient Egypt due to this legendary, natural coloring as well as its potent metaphysical qualities. A strong protection stone, it assists the practice of shielding ones self from psychic attack within a  'violet light' or 'violet flame'. It is also a stone used in meditation, assisting in connecting one to their intuition and higher consciousness. 

This jewel is hand cut and therefore may have small signs of the carver's hands along the edges. It has not been fabricated by a machine rather it hand cut and therefore might not be uniformly perfect. The photographs accurately portray the quality of the stone and the cut.
