Twin snakes, one an an ouroboros, encircle a faceted Onyx, creating a wearable portal; a deep cave or deep pool for gazing. Wear against the body for use as a companion for divination, for comfort while contemplating crossing thresholds or while either amidst the discomfort or creatively generative energy of liminal space. 

The Ouroboros is one of the oldest symbols in the world, meaning 'tail devourer' in Ancient Greek - and was actually used just as it can be used here, as a token of love, by the Ancient Egyptians. It was the Pharaohs who considered the shape of rings ( seen here as the circle / 'ring' shape the bodies of the snakes make around the magnifying lens ) to represent an unbroken symbol of infinity, the ring as a circle that has no end and no beginning, as well as having the shape of both the sun and the moon, which they worshipped.

is best known for being a natural stone that acts as a kind of 'psychic armor' against the negativity of others. It is also used to sooth grief and heartbreak. It is a wonderful grounding stone and a stone of self mastery, enabling its wearers to have mental and spiritual focus.

These jewels are hand cut and therefore may have very slight differences in size and may have small signs of the carver's hands along the edges. These are not fabricated by a machine, they are made by hand and therefore aren't uniformly perfect. The photographs accurately portray the quality of the stones and the cuts.
