The Winter Triangle is an asterism that forms a triangle & features three of the brightest stars: Sirius, Betelgeuse and Procyon of the winter season from several different constellations. While not a constellation on its own, it has been used in ancient times as a navigational device and as a way to find other constellations due to how bright and recognizable the stars in the triangle are.

Here the Winter triangle is represented by a moonstone trillion and guarded by two petite barred owl talons. The barred owl is known to be most active during winter, its haunting calls echoing across the barren landscape to protect territory and  in search of a mate.
