This necklace was originally released in our Lily Dale Collection. This hand was inspired by a Victorian letter clip holder and features elegant fingers, a detailed cuff, and my favorite part, a small, smooth snake curled around the wrist. Snake symbology was often used in Victorian imagery, beginning when Prince Albert proposed to Queen Victoria with a snake ring. Here, it further symbolizes the 'unseen realm' that the medium taps into, the spirit world that they ferry messages to and from

This image represents the hand of the Medium, and their ability to "cross over" to the other side; the spirit world, to communicate with those who have left the earthly plane. These people are conduits for all we have lost and wish to glimpse again.

The ring is cast entirely in sterling silver and oxidized to achieve my obsessive shade of gloomy gray. The hand is 1 1/2 inches long and just over a 1/2 inch at its widest.
